In many ways, 2019 was a big year for us — we received awards and accolades from all across the supply chain and logistics industry. We’re heading into 2020 with a full head of steam, and we’re looking forward to our Elevate Conference where our customers and other conference-goers will get a first look at amazing things to come.
Here’s a quick recap of some of the highlights from the past year:
Gartner Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems
In 2019, Gartner named us a Leader in its Warehouse Management Systems Magic Quadrant. In case you’re wondering what that means, Gartner describes Leaders as follows: “Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.” We couldn’t agree more — HighJump has a long track record of helping businesses with complex supply chain challenges.
But, as proud as we are of our history, we couldn’t be more excited about our customers’ future. Our solutions, built on a flexible architecture, are designed to help businesses adapt quickly to future challenges. This helps our customers find opportunities out of market shifts and changes, which seems to be all-too frequent these days in supply chain management.
Global Oracle Cloud ISV Partner of the Year
Oracle is a leading database management and cloud engineered systems provider, and it is a big part of our cloud portfolio’s backbone.
Steve Daheb, Oracle’s senior vice president of Cloud Strategy, had this to say about HighJump:
“HighJump has demonstrated an outstanding level of innovation in delivering proven, Oracle-based cloud solutions for the supply chain that solve our joint customers’ most critical business challenges. We congratulate HighJump in achieving the 2019 Oracle Excellence Award for Global Partner of the Year in Cloud ISV. This achievement is a testament to HighJump’s dedication to excellence and to providing customers with solutions that drive real business value and results.”
We believe cloud supply chain solutions will continue to grow rapidly across the logistics community. Managed services, security, scalability, and cost benefits are highly attractive to many businesses. Using Oracle’s systems, we’ve managed to increase cloud revenue by more than 30 percent, double the number of customers who’ve started using cloud-based systems, and seen a huge spike in cloud-based warehouse management systems.
Food Logistics Champions: Rockstars of the Supply Chain
Each year, Food Logistics magazine releases their Rockstars of the Supply Chain. The list recognizes standout individuals in the industry for their exemplary vision and leadership in steering global food supply chains by forming relationships along every step of the supply chain, from growers and packers to retailers and logistics providers. In 2019, Derek Curtis, our vice president of sales, received the honor of being included on the Rockstars of the Supply Chain list.
Lara L. Sowinski, business development manager at Food Logistics, said that the 2019 list, “...reflects the expanding diversity that is emerging in our industry, both in terms of demographics and talent. The combination of experience and wisdom complemented with a new generation of professionals is resulting in a food and beverage supply chain that is in sync with consumers’ demands while simultaneously adept and staying ahead of the logistical requirements.”
Food and beverage has been a big focus for us. Rising customer expectations, such as smaller delivery windows, greater product availability, and high quality standards for perishables, has placed extra hardships on many businesses in this industry. Perishables and cold storage might be hard to manage, but with the right processes and systems in place, grocers and other businesses can come out on top .
Food Logistics FL100+ List
In addition to honoring Derek Curtis and his team, Food Logistics also recognized HighJump in early 2019 for the work we do in using technology to establish and maintain global food and beverage supply chains that are safe, efficient, and reliable. It’s the tenth consecutive year we’ve been on the list, and we’re proud to be honored for our ability to enable transportation and mobile delivery for food and beverage companies using our connected, automated supply chain technology.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive's Pros to Know
We’re also excited that Scott Brask, HighJump’s vice president of cloud and security operations, was named one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine’s Pros to Know. The Pros to Know Awards honor supply chain executives and enterprises who do the important work of ensuring that supply chains are prepared for the many challenges of doing business today. Brask and his team were commended for their comprehensive portfolio of cloud-based solutions for warehouse, transportation, and logistics companies and partners.
Gartner's Critical Capabilities Report
The Gartner Critical Capabilities report spotlights excellence in warehouse management systems and products according to nine metrics, including usability, agility, technological implementation, decision support, and operational simplicity. HighJump's Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), which also made the report in 2018, is designed to meet the needs of businesses small and large through its flexible architecture and ability to integrate with a business’s existing and newly-acquired solutions as technology stacks become more complex to meet the needs of growing demand.
Inbound Logistics Top 100 Logistics IT Providers
Every year, Inbound Logistics assembles a list of 100 logistics IT providers who are excelling in the field. The list is developed by editors at Inbound Logistics to recognize the capabilities of technology providers who not only have proven able to address pressing logistics and transportation challenges, but who also have well-documented customer successes.
Quadrant Knowledge Solutions
Lastly, we received a shoutout from Quadrant Knowledge Solutions, a global advisory and consulting firm. Piyush Dewangan, Quadrant’s industry research manager, had this to say:
“HighJump continues to receive strong ratings for both technology excellence and customer impact parameters of the SPARK Matrix analysis. HighJump, with its adaptable technology architecture and comprehensive WMS functionalities including a range of value-added solution portfolio, offers robust SCE capabilities suitable for SMBs, large enterprises, and 3PL organizations. The company continues to strengthen its solution capabilities with compelling technology vision and roadmap, incorporating advanced analytics, IoT, blockchain, robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies.”
The future of supply chain management requires a close connection between data and warehouse management systems. Insights driven through data can push operations to the next level by helping supply chains understand customer trends such as demand volume and peak volumes. It’s one of our goals to not only help businesses move boxes, but to shift from a reactionary to proactive positioning of their logistics systems.
2020 Here We Come

From breakthroughs in our solutions to wins our customers gain through our solutions each day, there’s a lot to celebrate.
